Holy Earrings!

The boys were unpleasantly shocked to see me wearing earrings today, since it is a rare occassion that I accessorize myself. All Lance could do was give a puzzled stare at these odd apparatuses hanging from my lobes. Brian immediately scolded me, "Mom, you can't put holes in yourself! You'll break your bones!"

This is the same child that ran over to me (excitedly, I might add) after I tumbled down the staircase and ended in a heap on the floor. He shouted hopefully, "Did you break a bone like Alison?!" (Alison, our neighbor, took the same unfortunate tumble down our stairs... A trip that ended in a cast.) I'm happy to report that I just had a toe-ache for the next few days, which Brian wasn't the least bit sympathetic toward.
